Fremont Fair

Benefiting area non-profits, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce hosts the free, fun and unpredictable 41st annual Fremont Fair on June 16-17, 2012. Thousands of festival guests attend the weekend celebration, a community festival celebrating the “delibertas quirkas” culture of Seattle’s artistic Fremont neighborhood. The mid-June annual event coincides with the Summer Solstice.

Founded in 1972, the Fremont Fair and Summer Solstice invites guests to walk the Fremont neighborhood with main events happening west of Fremont Avenue North on N 35th Street and N 34th Street/Canal Street. And then the fun begins. In to shopping? Browse more than 300 booths offering handmade crafts, colorful imports and unique creations. Food and drink? Check out the beer garden, wine garden, food vendors and special events at the bars and restaurants lining in the Fremont neighborhood.

Entertainment? Check out the street performers and the four stages with performances by local bands. Wacky fun? The free-spirited nature of this neighborhood is never more evident than during the Solstice Parade, produced by the Fremont Arts Council in honor of the longest day of the year.
