Bumbershoot 2011: Everything You Need to Know
If you like going to music and art festivals, then make your way to Seattle, Washington for Bumbershoot 2011. This is one of the largest and hippest places to experience live musical performances while enjoying a variety of tasty treats.
Each year over Labor Day weekend you can find me, plus 100,000 others, at the Seattle Center for Bumbershoot: Seattle’s Music and Arts Festival. Since 1971, this annual festival has brought numerous performers from not only the United States, but many international musicians have appeared here as well.
The Lineup
Over three days the lineup for Bumbershoot 2011 will include Witchburn, MarchFourth Marching Band, PS I Love You, Wiz Khalifa, Kaylee Cole, Phantogram, You am I, plus many more.
Other Entertainment + Food
There is of course more to do at Bumbershoot 2011 than listen to live concerts. Upon arrival, be sure to watch the other types of entertaining art forms such as street theater, comedic performances, and break dancing routines to only name a few.
Personally, one of my favorite activities at the Festival is to wine and dine on all that it has to offer. From the health food nut, to the carnival food connoisseur, all the way to the vegan, there will be something for everyone in the food department at Bumbershoot 2011. Just thinking about the steaming plate of veggie pad Thai from Thai Heaven or smelling the fries as I pass Ziegler’s is making my mouth water. However, this festival would not even be close to complete without the Little C’s Funnel Cakes, which is what I am most looking forward to at Bumbershoot 2011.
